About Acupuncture

Brahmani is a highly qualified and experienced acupuncturist, skilled in practicing three distinct styles of traditional acupuncture

Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicine

TCM encompasses a broad range of practices, including acupuncture, cupping, guasha, moxibustion, tuina and dietary therapy, to help bring the body back into balance. It mainly works with the 6 Yin and 6 Yang organ channels in the body and generally focuses on balancing the body's "qi" and harmony of yin and yang. TCM often addresses specific symptoms directly and works on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.

TCM is particularly good for pain management, reducing stress and stress related conditions, digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, respiratory conditions, neurological disorders and weakened immune systems.

Acupuncture Treatment

Five Element

Five Element Acupuncture, emphasises the interaction of the Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—and their impact on an individual's physical and emotional health. This approach is more concerned with diagnosing and treating patterns related to these elements, aiming to address underlying imbalances that may affect both physical and emotional well-being.

Five Elements is particularly good for increasing energy AND emotional and mental well-being. Including anxiety, depression and stress. It also addresses emotional imbalances such as grief, anger or fear

Master Tung Acupuncture

Master Tung's acupuncture is a distinct and renowned system of acupuncture originating from Master Tung Ching-Chang, a highly skilled acupuncturist in Taiwan during the 20th century. This system is celebrated for its simplicity, effectiveness, and unique set of points that differ significantly from traditional Chinese acupuncture (TCA) systems.

Master Tung focuses on immediate results whilst you are on the treatment couch. Therefore it is more symptom orientated and focuses less on the root cause of the problem. It uses less needles than TCM and is particularly useful for pain management and tinnitus.

Brahmani is an integrated practitioner which means she will use a combination of these different specialities in any given treatment. It will depend on your individual health complaint and pattern as to what she will do when you come for treatment.
